Eric Vorm is a high-ranking professional in the packaging and manufacturing industry, with over 35 years of experience in his field. He is currently the Vice President and General Manager of an end-of-line packaging company, specialized in building machinery for other companies to construct their own packaging, for goods like dairy, foodstuffs, or pharmaceuticals. Many of Eric’s clients are Fortune 500 companies: he provides high-end equipment, that works at a high speed. He also has a number of outdoor hobbies, including golfing, target shooting, swimming, and snowmobiling.

Growing up, Eric lived on a golf course, leading him to become deeply involved with the sport. During his first job in the packaging industry, he and his colleagues would get together two nights per week after work to play golf. Not only has the sport allowed him to build numerous connections and friendships, but it has given him a concrete area in which to hone his skills. He appreciates the ability to choose between playing alone or with groups, with newcomers and experts alike, all the while experiencing great sights and sounds.

Eric also grew up with target shooting: he had many skilled hunters in his family, leading him to be exposed to the sport from an early age. He sees it both as a recreational hobby, and a personal protection: he is able to shoot handguns and other firearms, and appreciates having these skills in case he ever finds himself in a dangerous situation. He tries to make it to the shooting range whenever he gets the chance.

Eric’s interest in swimming came after college. His friends became involved in marathons, and he started swimming because his friend suggested he try it out. He became skilled at the sport, and now owns an infinity pool at his house. Now, he mostly swims to stay fit and healthy. Doing laps every day is a great way to stay in shape, and to take time for oneself.

When he was a child, Eric had a snowmobile, and he absolutely loved riding on it in the winter. He turned to racing sleds when he got older, and has always been drawn to these types of snow sports. They are particularly enjoyable in Michigan, where the winters are notoriously brutal and cold: there isn’t much else to do but participate in outdoor sports. He would love to purchase a snowmobile today, and rediscover his adventurous past.
